Clear Puff is behavioural support. It is not therapy, not a clinician, and not medication. If nicotine replacement or a prescription might be right for you, that is a conversation with a doctor or pharmacist.

Where our numbers come from

Every statistic shown in this app links to the specific published source it comes from. We do not present internal app metrics as clinical efficacy claims, and we do not show recovery-timeline claims we cannot source. Our timeline is adapted from cigarette-cessation research and is labelled as such everywhere it appears.

What we collect

Your first name, your age band, your assessment answers, your quit date and approach, your daily check-ins (mood, craving level, whether you vaped, optional notes), and your craving logs. If you attach an email so you can recover your plan, we store that too.

Where it lives

Your profile, check-ins and craving logs live in this app's own database. They are never sold and never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and there are no analytics trackers or ad pixels in this app.

Running the service does involve infrastructure providers acting on our instructions — Stripe processes payments (your card never touches our servers), Supabase hosts the database, Vercel hosts the app, and Resend delivers email. None of them is an advertising or analytics company. The full privacy policy lists each one and what it sees.

Consent, and how to withdraw it

Health-related data is only stored after you give explicit, standalone consent during onboarding — it is not bundled into terms of service, and nothing is stored until you agree. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your data.

How to delete it

“Delete my account” in Settings cancels any active subscription and removes your profile, check-ins and craving logs permanently. It genuinely deletes — there is no soft-delete and no archive.

Your health-data rights

Laws like the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370 require opt-in consent for consumer health data and give you the right to confirm what is held about you, withdraw consent, and have it deleted. We honour those rights for everyuser, whatever state or country you're in — deleting your data in the app exercises all three. Where GDPR applies, consent is our lawful basis and the same mechanisms are your access and erasure rights.

Age

Clear Puffis not directed at or intended for children under 13. The onboarding age question stops the flow before any data is collected. Users aged 13–17 aren't sold a subscription either — they're pointed to This is Quitting and Smokefree Teen, which are free, built for that age group, and better evidenced for it.
